kenmore garbage disposal internal leak
Model Number: 175.600115 Brand: Kenmore Age: More than 10 years
disposal leaks when turned on profusely from inside unit, comes out bottom where electrical is. Is this repairable or need replaced?? original appliance, home is 15yrs old. appreciate any advice

Cheaper to replace than repair
I just ran into the same problem & a service company advised what I thought...that they don't repair disposal units as they are cheaper to replance than to repair. Also, Consumer Reports has the Waste King brand rated tops by far & found them cheaper (basically on line distributors only & most had free shipping). I got real lucky & found Costco had a 3/4 hp unit with 10 year warranty or a 1 hp unit with lifetime warranty both were under $100 & free shipping.
