Unplug the disposal from the receptacle under the sink. Check the receptacle the disposal is plugged into, make sure it has power. If the receptacle works then check the wiring inside the side of the disposal, one of the wire nuts may have come loose or caused a short.

might also want to check the GFCI receptical by the sink sometimes the electrician will tie in the garbage disposal outlet to the closest receptical near the sink and sometimes that will trip just something to take a quick peek at
