Hums, doesn't do anything else
Model Number: Badger 5 Insinkerator Brand: -brand- Age: 5 - 10 years
It was working fine yesterday and all of a sudden it stopped grinding. Now it just hums (and the light over the sink dims)
I tried hitting the reset switch on the bottom but it didn't help. There's nothing stuck in the disposal that I can see or feel by sticking my hand in it. Anything I should try? Thanks as always... Ads By Google Related Models Last edited by blowfly : 10-15-2009 at 04:16 PM.

Sorry for the slow reply. I was just about to post that the plate doesn't move but I decided to try it one more time and I guess I pried it loose so now it's working! I will say it sounds a little gnarly so it might be on its last legs... but I can at least replace it on my own time and not in a panic...
