humming dispoal - not jammed
Brand: -brand- Age: More than 10 years
Have an InSinkErator that is 15 years old. Stopped working, just humming. Not jammed - have used the key to turn it manually. Reset button not tripped. Any thoughts on what is going on?

The motor has failed. There is no repair to it and you will need to replace it with a new disposal.
