Model Number: KWS 200 Brand: Kitchen Aid Age: More than 10 years
Can anyone tell me how to go about dropping down my disposal to check for a jam. The reset button is not turning it. I have disconnected electric , watersupply and drain, but cannot figure how it drops down. Thank you

they are held up there either by twisting 1/4 to 1/2 turn or there are three tension screws that have to be loosened. But before have you removed the jam? Do you have the wrench that came with it? Look for a hex hole in the bottom. No wrench?? try the old broom stick/ plunger stick trick. with hands about 2-3 ft apart use a forceful mopping motion to free the plate.
