InSink Erator Hums, Blades Turn, Doesn't Work
Brand: -other- Age: More than 10 years
My InSink Erator will not work and only hums. It drains very very slow.
I can turn the blades using the special tool inserted in the bottom. It turns easily in either direction. The reset button does not help. I also tried using Drano just for kicks, but that didn't help. I am thinking the only thing left is to replace the unit, but I don't understand why it would still just hum if the blades are turning ok. Anything else I can try or is it time for a new one?
