I am trying to assist an 84-year-old blind woman in Fort Worth, Texas with an icemaker repair or a working used or new refrigerator. I work for Easter Seals and am trying to find a local forum here in Texas like this one who can help her -- do you know of a contact? She has a very old GE, but I don't know the model #. (BTW, you all are doing a wonderful service for your community -- keep up the good works!)

Default 84 year-old blind woman's broken ice maker

Thank you kindly for asking, but yours is the first reply I have received. I sent a possible resource to the man who works with this woman's home health agency, called the Assistance League, but I am not sure they were able to help in this particular case. It is a busy time of year, and I think this is seen as a low priority request. If you know of any groups such as yours in the Dallas-Fort Worth area of Texas, I would appreciate knowing about them. Thanks again, and have a wonderful holiday season!

If you or someone you know can do the job, we can help with some repair advice and maybe step by step instructions. Post the refrigerator model number and describe the problem in detail.
