My freezer is a Citation 15.3 cu.ft. chest type. It is old, probably 25 years or so. It works great but I know it needs a new seal. How do I find one? I measured the seal in now and it is 26-7/8 x 43-7/8. Any help would be appreciated.

Refigerator Warm, freezer Cold Only By The Coils

We initially had a lot of frost on the coils, even on the fan. We replaced the defrost timer and that problem was solved. We then replaced the temperature control for the freezer and still have too little cooling in both
the refrigerator and freezer. The compressor still runs OK and we are still
cycling through defrost. Is there a limit switch somewhere that should be
replaced or could the defrost thermostat cause this problem?

GE sxs Refrigerator Runs but stopped Cooling

Model: GSS20IEPHWW, Serial: MG283464, 5 years old.

History:

1. Problem started with the light going dim and the water would not dispense. Forums said to replace the main board. So I had the main control board (WR55X10552) replaced by GE a few months ago. Worked fine (should have done it my self to save money).

2. Then the water dispenser stopped. Reading the repair forums they say that moisture in the door foam may cause dispenser tube to freeze and that GE had a repair for it by installing the dispenser heater service kit (WR49X10173). I first tried adjusting the thermostats to a warmer setting to see where the water was freezing (I have some tubing for the water dispenser in the refrigerator side and it felt frozen). Then I unpluged the refrigerator and let it defrost manually (all day). There was a lite build up of frost on the rear panel inside the freezer and I did need to soak up some water as it defrosted. Worked fine for about a month.

3. It froze again (there was a build up of frost on the rear panel, I did not check the evaporator coil at that time). I let the refrigerator defrost again (unpluged all day) and it seemed like I had to soak up a few pints of water from the floor (drip pan was also full) as it was defrosting. Did some dust cleaning around the condenser/coil and fan under the refrigerator and checked the water tubes that I could see for leeks, none found.

I turned the refrigerator back on and set the thermostats, but the next morning it was still warm inside the refrigerator. Not having done anything to the refrigerator but cleaning I hit the forums to see what could be wrong. I checked the condenser fan under the refrigerator, it runs, checked the circulating fan in the freezer, it runs, but I do not hear the compressor motor running anymore. The refrigerator just stopped cooling.

Testing to see if the main board was the problem I reinstalled my old board to see if it would start to cool again, but it does the same as the new main board. I opened the refrigerator panels and could not see anything visually wrong.

I did find a wire with a connector thats not connected to anything. Its coming out of the bottom of the refrigerator just above the condenser. Is it suppose to be connected to something (I can't find it) or is it a test lead?

What would cause the refrigerator to stop cooling after a manual defrost?

Can anyone help (foods getting warm), thank you.

Help!!! I need some info and a repair guide to fix this thing.

Seems that the ice melts randomly and runs down the shelves to refreeze and form stalactites!! The ice forms a sheet in the ice maker also.

I can fix this as I am very handy but, need to know how and the location of the parts. I guess there is a fan and evaporator unit as well as some thermistors in there someplace. A manual would be great along with ideas as to what to replace first. The old swapping parts gets expensive.

The service tech has been out twice , just after the warranty ran out, to repair the infamous icemaker issues with little success. I can live with the poor design of the icemaker system , but, I can't live with the freezer section melting the ice cream and refreezing it again. The ice formations are truely awesome to look at , but, they have to go. Help.......

Freezer cold, refrig warm

Unit is about 5 years old. Initially the refrig and freezer started to get warm and things in the freezer started to melt. When the compresser cycled on it would only run for a minute or so. I replaced the thermostat attached to the refrig rheostat. The compressor would then run and the freezer went down to almost zero degrees but the refrig would range between 43 degrees and 50 degrees. I opened the back of the freezer and everything was clear and dry, no frost buildup or clogged vents. There is a "freezer control" attached to the freezer rheostat which looks to me like it adjusts a flapper allowing more or less cold air to go from the freezer box to the refrig box. Could that be my problem or is there something else?
Thank You

I know there are tons of questions about issues with an ice dispenser, but I can't find one related to my exact issue. My problem is it will not dispense cubes of ice, but it has no problem dispensing crushed. There is no build up around the chute nor is anything frozen built up inside the bin. The water also comes out fine. We had no problems with it until a few months ago when it just quit giving out cubed ice. We have emptied it several times seeing if maybe that would help reset it and it does nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated cause I'm really being lazy in that I'm tired of opening the door and pulling out the bin to get to the cubed ice which I like best, lol.

We ordered a replacement defrost heater assembly (WR51X10031) for our refrigerator. The instructions that came with the part were for replacing a dual element defrost heater with a single element heater. We need the instructions for replacing a single element heater with a single element heater. I contacted a live chat representative, and they said that I needed to post the question on the forum to get the correct instructions.

I have an iceburg forming under my ice maker and the fan blades hit it making a horrible sound. I take everything out of the freezer and remove the inside back aluminium panel to manually defrost the iceburg with a hair dryer. It fixes the problem for about 6 to 8 weeks at which time the fan hits more ice. Is it the quarter sized round thermostate under the ice maker. Part #1399517 on it does not match up with anything and the on line parts house shows no picture of the wiring harness that they will sell me. Part# 2310240 is the harness but the thermostate is not mentioned.
