The porcelain cracked on front left burner surface burner spark electrode. I ordered part # ap3175721 which is supposed to replace old spark electrode. I received the part and went to replace it but the fitting is too wide to slide in the the fitting on the wire? I called and they told me this is the right one for my model. The old spark electrode is about 1/8" thick and the new one is about 1/4" thick. Anyone have any ideas? Do I need to order new wire with wider fitting to accept new spark electrode? I’ve attached a couple pics to help.

Thanks

I have a Whirlpool double oven (model RBD275PDS14). The control panel goes blank about every 2-3 months, and the oven won't heat. Although, the light inside the oven will still work. When the panel lights up again, it shows an error, "E6 F2". If we just wait around, the oven has started working again in about 1-2 weeks without any loss of time on the clock. We have had the panel replaced once, however the problem has continued. Any suggestions?

Initially, gas delayed igniting although igniter glowed red. Caused a minor "boom" when it did ignite but only occurred during initial starting of oven and did not occur later in the bake cycle. Last time oven worked it got to 300 degrees then died - no glow in igniter anymore. Replaced igniter but still did not glow. As all electric displys worked did experiment to test sensor. Turned oven on to bake and control showed initial temp of 100 degrees and bake cycle on. Put pot of boiling water in oven to watch temperature display. It stayed at 100 although controls appear to work. Asume a bad sensor as temp did not change. Is this a valid test?

Glass Door replacement part search leads to wrong glass!

Okay. 2nd post. Hopefully, I will get some responses here.

In ordering a new outer glass for our range, part # 3196810 is the only glass door that is available. However, it is one solid piece of white opaque glass. The original glass door had a "window", which paired with inner glass could still see inside the oven.

The part looks more like the door glass on RF212PXSQ. I took pictures of the glass, the window in the range and an example of what the glass should look like.

Image: http://www.whirlpool.com/assets/images/product/ZLARGEIMG/RF212PXSQ_WP-Zoom_436X510_SF.jpg

Below is the window into the oven. Should have a piece of glass over this, with a "window" like the above picture.

Below is the picture of the solid glass piece. NOT CORRECT!

I have the GE Profile Downdraft Vent System which pops up behind the stove. It is a separate unit from the stove. Problem is I cannot figure out how to dissassemble the SS cover part #7 from the snorkel body part #2.

I need to get to the flat black switgh as I think this is my problem. Unit was humming then nothing. Of course I cannot unplug as the outlet is behind the unit and cannot find a breaker so I have to turn the power off to the entire house.

Thanks for any advice.
