Unit automatically starts when closing the door. Ram cycles down and when it comes back up and reaches the top of its cycle it starts hammering like a gear is slipping. Have to step on the foot pedal and open the door to get it to stop. Have replaced the Drawer tilt switch, Door light switch and Directional switch.

My Jenn Air TC507 ram goes down, the motor hums, and then the motor shuts off. Intermittently, it will come back up after a couple of resets. I have replaced one of the power nuts and lubed the threaded rods, to no effect. Could it be the motor switch? Any ideas?

When the door on the compactor is closed, it starts running. It completes it's cycle & starts a thumping noise. It should not start until the toe switch is activated & should stop when it reaches the end of the cycle. It seems as if the toe switch is stuck on, but I can't tell where the switch or switch mechanism is located or how to unstick it.

I need the stop & start switch. Part number 114474 was changed to Whirlpool 4161248. These part numbers are no longer available. The part was called Program switch-stop and start. I need an alternate part that can be used. Anyone have a suggestion. Trash compactor is approximately 25 years old. This is the first problem I have had with it.

The compactor started making a jackhammer noise. When I took the top off it appears that with the ram full up the motor tries to keep raising it. I can pull the ram up and out so it is not engaged on screws. Can anyone hlp me get the screws engaged and have ram move both up and down.

have the above appliance. Noted the older posts for kitchen aide. Ram will lower automatically in the sequence but will not raise. Manually stop and restart and will raise. No plastic nuts on top but on side that you can see, but not gain access. Other solutions?

I have a gcg1580lss trash compactor that is not working. The tech that came out today to fix it said it needs a new motor. Im thinking about purchasing a motor from you and doing it myself

Question
1) Does your motor come with installation instructions
2) If I get into trouble can you help advise on installation instructions

Please e-mail me back at zschwart@estee.com or zschwartzman@csc.com or call 631.274.5115

Thank you
