Noisy washer during agitate/spin.
The belt has been replace. After replacement the noise was gone - but mid cycle it came back. The cover was open, I pulled to motor to make the belt tighter and the noise went away.
Seem like to motor is mounted to have play - I don't see how I can tighten it up.
There is a pin - I wonder if this is what governs the play. The pin doesn't look bad. How can I increase tension on the belt?

Recently replaced the motor coupling on washer, which will be the second time in 4 years. The problem now is the drum agitates wildly when on spin cycle. I have looked for something being loose or sheared off, no luck. What could be the problem?

While doing laundry, washer was set to pre soak, filled with water OK, but timer didnt advance and washer didnt start. Tried turning the dial to all different settings, and still wont start. I opened control panel, tested lid and check switch for continuity, they are fine, tested water level switch, tests fine as well. Check continuity of the main motor seems to be fine, although there are so many wires, wasnt sure which pair to test. I dont have continuity at the small timer motor though??? Any suggestions what to try next, wondered about trying to hot wire directly to the motor, but again wasnt sure which wires I would use, as it has 6 wires leading to it. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi, I am replacing a motor in my maytag washer. There is a spring - it looks more like a clip, that attaches to the motor and to something else - whether it is the base or what I can't remember. Does anyone know where this particular spring fits??? The part number for the spring is AP4027842 and the parts diagram listing number is #5 of the motor diagram. Help????

I have a loud sound coming from the transmission when the machine should agitate.
With the machine tiled back - the transmission wheel will spin in one direciton. Should it be able to be moved in both directions?

Whirlpool Cabrio Washer Drum Noise

Just started a month ago, when the drum is agitating back and forth it makes a grinding noise. Also, when the system is idle no clothes in it, you can manually move the drum back and forth and hear the same noise. The unit performs fine, but the noise is starting to get worse.
Is this a bearing?? thanks

my whirlpool washer does fine till the rinse starts filling. then it fills and drains at the same time. by rearranging things in the washer or jiggling the agitator, i can get it to finally fill up. but it is difficult to do. everything else works fine.
