My dryer stopped working in the middle of a drying cycle. It won't start now. I took front off and the belt is broken. Dryer makes clicking noise when start button is pressed but motor doesn't spin. My thinking is the belt stopped moving the drum and it got too hot inside and the thermal fuse blew. Does this seem possible? I'm gonna get a new belt and fuse tomorrow and replace them and hope for the best. Any other ideas. It's ten years old and this is the first trouble it has giving me, wish I could say the same about my matching washer which has broken 4 times.
