I have a Maytag electric dryer, Model #LDE882. It is noisy when first starting to dry clothes and turning the drum. I opened the unit, front and rear. The noise appears to be coming from the part shown in the parts diagram as PULLEY-ID. The drum belt appears to be okay.

Does this pulley wear out? What other parts should be replaced if replacing this pulley? If anyone has a repair manual for this dryer, I would love to take a look at it.

Here is the part information from the parts diagram on AppliancePartsPros.com

PULLEY- ID

Part Number: AP4372890
Made by WHIRLPOOL

Should I use something like a white lithium grease or a spray such as WD40?

I would use any kind of a car engine oil (even used one) - just 2 or 3 drops.
