Help replacing a GE start switch on a Hotpoint Dryer
Brand: -brand- Age: Less than 1 year
The knob on the start switch was broken off, so it needs to be replaced. I took a pic using my phone so i could see which wires were connected to the start switch. I ordered a new switch and just picked it up. But the screen on my phone cracked and now can't see the pic that shows the wiring. the start switch has 2 tabs on the back, but there are 3 wires to connect(1 red, 1 brown, and 1 light brown). I know how the red and brown wires connect to the switch, but the light brown wire has a different style of connection. the other end of the light brown is connected to the timer. This light brown wire has me confused. It is a GE start switch (model# WE4X782).
If anyone has any ideas regarding this light brown wire, any help is appreciated. Thanks Ads By Google
