I mis-wired a new timer which caused short & burned out the timer and tripped the circuit breaker. Replaced the timer, but now motor immediately hums, runs, but immediately gets hot and smells like it's burning. Motor is a Form T with Starter. Is there a way to test motor- 3-wires from motor to Starter: Blk to terminal #1; Orange to terminal #4; Green to terminal #5, or have I damaged the motor and need to replace?
If I need new motor, is motor kit p/n AP4295548 the correct one to order, and is WE12X41 std pulley included? Do I also need a new Start switch p/n WE4X344, or is existing one probably okay?
