series 70 gsa drier

Model Number: 110.97374200 734742 Brand: Kenmore Age: 5 - 10 years

My dryer drys clothes fine. But the timer continues to run. It Moves to the next cycle and starts again. If you open the door it stops. Can anyone advise me to what is wrong?
