timer just clicks

Model Number: KEYS700GQ0 Brand: Kitchen Aid Age: 5 - 10 years

Dryer will not run. When positioning the timer dial, it clicks a few times. Starter button will not engage dryer. Power is getting to unit, light comes on inside when door is open. Thank you
