What is my problem?

Model Number: 110.96284810 Brand: Kenmore Age: More than 10 years

After I set my dryer to dry clothes, the timer will continue to count down as it should and cut off at the right time.
My problem begins here. After the dryer stops, the timer will continue to run and the dryer will start up by itself again. I have to leave the door open so it will not start up again.

Please help.
