Default Dryer Tumbles but No Heat
Model Number: FEQ1442ES0   Brand: Frigidaire   Age: 1 - 5 years

Appliance Parts from AppliancePartPros.com
Ok I have checked the following:

Outlet: 243V
Heating Element: 11.2 ohms, 0V
Control Thermistor: 9.6 kohm, 2V when running. Bypassed throws error and no start.
Thermal Limiter: 0.6 ohms, 0V
Motor Runs
High Limit Thermostat: 0.6 ohms, 0V, bypassed No heat

I keep hearing about a thermal fuse but I don't see it on the diagram or visibly unless it has a different name and is one of the above.

I'm not sure what I'm missing hear. The dryer is a 2005 and very clean. The heating issue didn't just gradually get cooler it stopped all of the sudden.

I am attaching the wiring diagram with values written in where I have tested.

I really appreciate any help...

If my math is correct, the element should read 18.75 ohms or close to it. Take a continuity check of the Thermal limiter, that is your thermal fuse, to determine if open or closed. if thermal limiter checks out ok, look at the heater relay on the board, look for loose solder connection, bang the relay with a screwdriver, it may be stuck open.

Should be the small device with red and orange wires.

I looked online a few places that said the ohms were normally between 8-12 so I figured it was ok, but I don't know for sure either. The board looks great and I doubt the banging on it will do anything because I've managed to bang it around a few times working on it. But thanks for the suggestions... keep them coming, it helps.

Also, the high limit thermstat read closed... 0.6 ohms.

yeah I checked that and saw 0 ohms and am getting no voltage across it while running.

I also bypassed that "thermal limiter" on the diagram with no luck.

if the relay is stuck open, your heater will not come on. Sometimes giving the relay a whack with the handle end of a screwdriver will free it.

Did you check for 240v at the wall outlet, or where the plug connects to the dryer?
