Default Stackable dryer damaging clothes
Model Number: 417.98702890   Brand: Kenmore   Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a staining and grabbing problem with a stackable unit. The SN# is XE82317702 if that helps determine age. Clothes are going above or below the drum and sometimes getting small holes or stains. I thought maybe it was the belt allowing the drum to gap. When looking in the dryer, the drum seems to be tilting slightly forward from the top causing a bigger gap at the bottom. I have received suggestions of either the belt or a roller? I don't see a 'roller' listed on either the Kenmore site or here for this model so I'm not sure what to think. I figured if I ordered a couple of parts that could resolve the issue, then I'm covered. You guys seem to have the best prices. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

You have a front slide and felt assembly. Probably worn out, just confirm and order a new one.

So is there any other parts needed besides the Felt glide assembly Part Number: AP2150497? That's the closest I can match up to with what you recommended and what is available for the model.

You probably would like to replace the bottom seal together with the felt glide assembly.

- The part number for the bottom seal is AP2143044

Gene.
