Trying to replace blower on my gas dryer. removed blower clip now there is a keeper clip (?) on the motor shaft. How do I remove this? Is the only way to remove it is by purchasing snap ring pliers?????????

I just stick a small screwdriver between the ends and bend/pry off. Bending the clip a little helps. Needle nose pliers help also.
