Default gas dryer puzzle
Model Number: MDG9316BWW   Brand: Maytag   Age: 1 - 5 years

Hi,

Well I am puzzled...

The dryer has not given us any problems till now.
It will come on and run for a few minutes and then the flame goes out.

After a few minutes the igniter will glow white hot but the gas does not come on. It will keep cycling calling for gas but no gas comes on..

I did all the check of continuity that you reccomend and all I notice is that the coil resistance is higher then you specify.

If I shut off the unit for a fe minutes or unplug it it will come on again for one cycle. Idid take out the high limit thermostat and jumper it out with no change.. I also took out the cycling thermo so it is not seeing heat with no difference?

What do you suggest?
