My dryer started making a small humming sound...it quickly got louder. Initially it did not do it every time I turned the dryer on, but now, it's super loud and does it every time I turn it on. My husband took it apart and cleaned out any loose lint, but that seemed to only make it louder. Suggestions?

Noises are typically difficult to diagnose on a Forum because we need to be there to hear it. That said, the rear plastic bearings on these models and the glides on the front fail often, causing noise.

I would replace both, they are inexpensive and see if that does not solve your problem.

If you still have it, check the belt and pulley and try replacing them. All of this is good maintenance and does not cost much, so you are not losing anything.
