Default Shot motor - remove blower?
Model Number: 417.82142101   Brand: Kenmore   Age: 5 - 10 years

Well, at this point I have totally disassembled the silly dryer. I guess it wasn't the belt that was shrieking like a banshee.
Now - how do I get the blower off the motor? It appears to have a nylon/plastic nut and even says turn clockwise to remove but I'm afraid any more force will shatter the whole mess! Would it just be the better part of valor to replace it all?
FWIW, the squeaks come from both the front and the back of the motor I can't tell if there is a bushing in the blower that could be bad too.
Thanks in advance!

Clamp vice grips on the blower square shaft, put a pipe wrench on the motor pulley, jerk the wrench clockwise, then turn the blower off the motor.
