Our Maytag LDE8704ACE electric dryer drum appears to be of track. (It doesn't look centered and makes a grinding sound when running.)

Does anyone have any suggestions on what may be the problem and how to repair or re-align?

Thanks,

Bill

Here are your parts

This should come in handy

Could be the front glides are shot. Item 8 in Section 8.
You will have to open it up and check.

While you have is open you may as well check the belt, rear support rollers, idler roller etc, for wear. Replace as necessary.

Also clean and check the interior including the blower wheel.
I would also clean/check the vent system.

Basically an overhaul.
