Model Number: TEDS780JQ0 Brand: Estate Age: 5 - 10 years
My Estate Dryer has stopped drying! I have had the following parts test and all test good. Thermostate, Heating Element , The two sensors(I think they are the high and low limit switches) on the side of the Element housing. I have 240v at the 3 way plug. I have 122v on each leads of the element. I do not know what else to test and any help is greatly appreciate the help. Thanks Tom

If you follow the heavy red wire from the heater element up to the timer, you will see where it connects to the timer. Usually RH terminal. With the power disconnected and this heavy red lead disconnected from that terminal, connect one lead of an Ohm meter to that terminal. The other lead you can touch to any other terminal. Next turn the timer slowly and see if you can get some continuity between this terminal and any other terminal on the timer. If you cannot get a reading then I would say the timer needs replacing.
