wont start
Model Number: FER211AS2 Brand: Frigidaire Age: 5 - 10 years
i have a dryer that will not start and before i go and get a new motor is there any thng else it could be. It will make a sounld like the motor is trying to turn over and them you will smell a burning smell not the motor nows what that smells like i think it is the heating elements but will not turn HELP PLEASE

Well, the first thing you want to do is to see if the drum will turn easily by hand when the machine is off. If so, get someone to help you and while the press the start buttom turn the drum while pushing in the door switch and see if it will start up. If so, the motor probably is bad.
If the drum does not turn easily open up the machine and check the rear bearing, which regularly fails on these models. Here is that part. Part number: AP2142648
