I don't know if I did this correctly. I'm trying to find out what could be wrong with my dryer? I went to sears service center told them my timer was'nt turning they said it was bad ordered part from A.P.P. What happens is when you push the start button the burner will light then it kicks off like it should then the timer won't move never heats up again but drum keeps turning. I checked for continuity across t/stats safeties. I don't know the names of dryer parts theirs a safety devise in the blower housing has 2 violet wires going to it and 2 red get continuity through red but not violet could'nt figure out if it was no or nc or if that was even the problem please help very low on cash can't aford another wrong part.

Mark,

Most likely the problem with your dryer caused by a bad gas valve coil (#13 & #14 on the burner break down diagram).

- The part number for the coil kit is AP3094251

Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool dryer Model LGR5620KQ1
