Default Heating element gets hot then shut off
Model Number: LER8648LW0   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: 5 - 10 years   

When the dryer is turned on I can see the element getting hot, it will stay red for about 10 sec. then turn off. any suggestions?

Pull the dryer out then disconnect the vent.
Does it act any different?

I figured out my problem. The vent hose was clogged with lint. I cleaned it out and it seems to be working fine. Thanks
