Model Number: 1106808810woo Brand: Kenmore Age: More than 10 years
Trying to remove old motor.
I can't seem to access the blower side of the motor. I can only access the motor through the lower panel door. I have not been able to remove the door panel yet, the screws seem to be frozen, and I don't want to strip the heads. I can reach behind the motor(blindly) but can't seem to loosen anything. I would appreciate any help before my children begin learning new vocabulary words!!! Thanks Steve |

If this is the one I think it is (your model number don't jive so I gotta guess.) On this model it is simular to a washer that has to have the case removed. In that you need to flip up the control panel and remove 3 screws holding the top on. remove the top then the front panel can be taken off. Do you have a picture? Check your model number so I can look it up.

Sublimemaster,
The model # is 1106808810W00 and it is a Kenmore. There were two screws at the top of the door panel and after you open the door there are three screws on each side of the door. I think only the lower two are securing the panel, but they are really stuck. I'm not normally stumped by these things, but this one has got me. Steve |
