Question Heat in Air Only Cycle
Model Number: GEW9200LWO   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: 5 - 10 years

The heating element is activated and emits a low heat when Air Only is selected from the menu option. In addition, High heat was measured at 155 degrees, Med heat 140 degrees, low heat 132 degrees and extra low heat 128-130 degrees, and air only at 128 degrees. I have replaced the heating element, the thermistor, the thermal cut-off, the thermostat, thermal fuse, and the machine control electronics board. I did all this within the last 2 weeks since the initial problem was the heating element was burned out (broken element). Do you have any idea what the issue is and what actions I need to take to correct the problem?

Default Found issue

The issue was that the heating element was grounding out against the metal heat box. Lesson learned check and make sure heating element is secure on white installation fittings.
