Our dryer will not start, though light inside works and timer ticks. There was a large lint build up at the last use. I took off the back panel and the fuse looks fine (just a black strip, nothing burned) and i cannot tell if the other thermostats are blown, as I do not know what to look for, and they do not look to be resettable. I am not sure what to do/replace/test. Any help would be appreciated

Here are your parts
Replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL GEQ8858EQ0 | AppliancePartsPros.com

Here is the wiring diagram

You cannot tell if the fuse is blown just by looking at it. Note it is Item 7 is Section 3.
Part number: AP3132867
Part number: AP3132867

Unplug the unit and remove one wire from it and check it with a meter, should be 0 ohms.

Jiggery pokery method is:
Unplug the unit.
Remove both wires from the fuse and short them together.
Tape them so they cannot short to anything else.
Plug it in and give it a try,
If blown replace it ASAP as it is a critical safety device.
Prevents lint fires which can turn into house fires.

Be sure to clean the blower wheel and clean/check your vent system as this is the most common causes of it blowing.
