Isn't that answer too vague? I have the same problem...but I am thinking it is the igniter. We used to hear a metal scraping sound shortly before you would hear a click and the gas ignite....now we just hear the metal scraping and never hear the click....and in turn...no gas igniting...the dryer will just run and not heat. Blowing cold air would indicate that 220 volts is reaching the dryer...Senior Expert.

Default if this is a gas dryer which looking it up says it is eletwic

The way it works is: The ignitor comes on. The coils are on the same circuit. But they will not open. why? because the glowbar/ignitor is robing them of the current needed to open the valve. Clever ain't it. So how does the coils get the voltage needed to open the gas gates and let the glorios sound of hotness come belching out? Simple: The flame sensor is also in the same circuit. They are all one big family, all on the same little electrical circuit. The glowbar/ignotor is robbing all the current remeber. It gets hotter and hotter and hotter, till that flame sensing box mount on the outside by the ignitor just cannot stand it no more. It Kills power going to that glowbar/ignitor and a spike of electricity all of a sudden energises them coil and whoosh the raw gas comes a pouring out onto that cherry red glowthing and Kaboom that gas get lit. It stay lit too until the drum temperature sensing klixon is happy. then that klixon kills power to the gas valve/ignitor/flame sensor. The gas shuts down and the dryer keeps on a trucking along. Just all warm and happy. till that drum temperature just a bit cool. then that klixon says to itself, self? is it a bit chilly in here right now? Lets fire up that gas valve assembly and get a little heat going on up in here. This process repeats itself all through the drying cycle till the clothes are dry.

Default So what can go wrong?

The glowbar can fail and mess up the whole works. Or the high limit will kick out due to venting problemas. The flame sensora flame sensor 2.bmp if it is open will not allow for the glowbar to fire up thus no heat lets see what else. oh yeah the controling thermostat mounted near the vent blower will die and that will not allow for power to get to the gas valve assembly. If it work some and then not at all them coils need changing. An old school simple way to check the heater/gasvalve assembly is as follows: Warning this is dangerous but what ain't. What you do is get the wife or a friend to be a witness Oops I mean to assist. remove the 2 wires going to the flame sensor hold them apart and have your friend start the dryer on the heat cycle. touch them 2 wire together and see if that glowbar comes on,wait 5 seconds and seperate the wires. the gas should ignite. if it does then your flame sensor is bad.replace that. If that glowthingy don't light up at all then you are not getting 120 volts to them 2 wire or the ignitor is bad. That ought to be enough to git ye started or killed HaHa Just kidding. LOL Be careful . any question just ask away.
