I have a Frigidaire (make by Electrolux) stacked washer/dryer unit.

It has occasional squeal or squeek when starting and was told rear drum bearing as likely bad. I have the bearing kit and am interested in knowing how to go about replacing the bearing.

I'm assuming the somehow the front cover comes off the dryer unit and I then remove the drum from the front. With the drum out then accessing the bearing is possible.

Or.... will I need access from the rear of the dryer to do this?

Okay, I've got it apart thanks to a .pdf file I found of a service manual.

Unfortunately, I can't find anything about how much lube to use on the drum hitch.

Any suggestion on how much lube to put in the socket? I don't want to use too much if it will cause a problem. Maybe the packed included with the kit is the correct amount and you should use the whole packet.
