My Whirlpool Dryer Will Not Cut Off; Look Like The Tumer Was Not Moving. I Ordered A Timer From App. Parts Pros And Replaced It But It Still Will Not Cut Off. The New Timer Does Not Move. Could It Be Anything Else?

ALL CYLCES; AIR FLUFF, TIME DRY AND AUTOMATIC. EVERY THING POINTS TO THE TIMER. BUT I CHANGED IT, I GUESS IT COULD ALSO BE BAD!

If the timer was good it would advance in Time Dry. Time Dry is "literal" minuets, it doesn't care if the clothes are dry or not it advances through the prescribed minutes it was set to.
Time Dry and Automatic are independent cycles. If the timer advanced in Time Dry but not in Automatic then there is a problem with the Automatic cycle, if the timer doesn't advance in any cycle then it is a timer problem. It is not uncommon to have bad parts right out of the box. |
