Model Number: FEQ332ES0 Brand: Frigidaire Age: 1 - 5 years
The other day I noticed that my dryer was still hot several hours after running a cycle. Also, the timer selector switch was homed in the off position. Everything else seems to work fine mechanically. The motor runs ok and the timer switch appears to cycle normally. The only way I can shut down the heat is to unplug the unit. The minute I plug it back in, you can feel the top cover starting to heat up, and this happens regardless of what position the timer/selector switch is in. What do you recommend I check/replace in order to fix this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Replacement parts for FRIGIDAIRE FEQ332ES0 Frigidaire/dryer | AppliancePartsPros.com Here is the wiring diagram http://manuals.frigidaire.com/prodin...134064000e.pdf What do you recommend I check/replace in order to fix this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated... Sounds like you have a grounded element, it then gets power through the Neutral all the time. Check the heating coil. Unplug the unit and both wires to the heating coil. Check it with a meter, should be around 12 ohms. Then check from each side of the coil to the case/frame, both should be infinite ohms (open). If not the coil may have sagged or broken and is touching the case. This can cause it to run on high and the thermostats cannot regulate it. Often you can see the coil touching the case but not always.
