Model Number: TEDS68BQ2 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years
My Whirlpool Estate dryer won't heat. This may be related, when it began to first go bad I used to have to run it at least twice to get a load dry, even on the "auto-sense dry" feature. I thought at first whatever "auto-sensed" it dry was failing. Now it won't heat at all. It does tumble the damp clothes.
I replaced the cheaper parts, the thermostat (part 3390291) located by the heater element and the thermal fuse (part 3392519), but it still won't heat. I checked the heater element, the coils are intact and it shows a resistance reading of 9.8 on my meter. |
