Electric Dyer starts and heat but will not continue to run.
Model Number: GEQ9800LW1 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years
Dryer starts and heats but will not continue to run unless the start button is head in or taped in. All other functions, timer, heat settings, buzzer and light work. Appears push button is not electrically latching.

Replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL GEQ9800LW1 27"electric Dryer | AppliancePartsPros.com Here is the wiring diagram http://www.servicematters.com/docs/w...%208541831.pdf Sounds like your Push To Start relay coil is toast so that it is not holding the relay contacts closed once you release the button.
