Unhappy Gas Dryer Does Not Ignite (Ignitor Replaced)
Model Number: FDG546RES   Brand: Frigidaire   Age: 5 - 10 years

Gas dryer will not ignite, even with replacement of the Ignitor Assembly. It does not appear that the ignitor glows when activated upon start-up of the dryer.

Gene has much to be proud of
Default

The first thing I would do is check for continuity the safety thermostat (#33 on the cabinet/drum break down diagram), the flame sensor (#79 on the burner break down diagram), and the cycling thermostat (#15 on the motor break down diagram).

If any of them is open - it has to be replaced.

- The part number for the safety thermostat is AP2152884

- The part number for the flame sensor is AP2142636

- The part number for the cycling thermostat is AP2106565

Here are the break down diagrams for the Frigidaire dryer Model FDG546RES0

Gene.
