belt and pulley make contact
Model Number: lhe5800w0 Brand: Whirlpool Age: More than 10 years
I installed a new belt(Part number: 341241
The pulley on the Idler pulley assembly is rolling against the motor shaft. I can’t tell if the sound being made is from the pulley or new wheels. My guess is the pulley. What can be done to correct this problem. I assume the pulley and shaft should not touch. Ads By Google Related Models

You may have the idler/belt installed incorrectly
Perhaps the following will help Dryer Belt Diagrams http://www.applianceaid.com/images/belt-config.JPG If the above is OK and you still have the old belt remove the new belt and check it against the old one for length. Unlikely but possible that you have the wrong belt.
