Brand: Maytag   Age: More than 10 years   
Dryer tumbles with loud rattling. visually inspection and turning drum by hand shows no issue of loose drum, etc. Are there rollers, alignment wheels, etc. that wearout to cause the drum to rattle/bang?

Inspect your rollers (2). If tight and smooth. Closely inspect the blower wheel to see if it has rounded out where the shaft fits through. The latter is most the issue.
