Dryer Not Heating / Shutting Off

My dryer has started shutting off after 10-20 minutes, it doesn't seem to heat during that time. The drum does turn. My husband has fixed my washer and dishwasher, this is a first for a dryer. What's the first step to diagnose the problem? Thanks.

Check your thermostats,cut-off switch, sensors to make sure they are good with a ohh meter. But it sounds like your thermostat is not cutting off the heating element and you have a safety thermal cut off switch will kick it off when it gets so hot for safety.

Here are your parts, includes a wiring diagram♦

I would check the power
L1 to L2 should be 240 volts
L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral, both should be 120 volts.

More symptoms would help!!
Does it or does it not heat for sure?
Have you tried different cycle types?
When you say it shuts off, do you have to wait several minutes before you can restart it? Often this is the motor overheating.
When it shuts off does anything work or is it totally dead?
