Default Gas Dryer
Brand: Whirlpool   Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a gas dryer and it was working fine. We smelled a little gas and had the gas company come by. They had me change the gas hose going from the dryer to the gas pipe with a yellow hose instead of the grey hose that had came with the dryer.

From that point on the dryer will ignite and the flames will come on but then after a little bit the flames shut off and there is no heat in the dryer to dry the clothes

We then have to run about 3 to 4 cycles in order for the clothes to be dry. This is time consuming and costly because of the energy that it is using.

What should I do to get the dryer working?

I have replace the exhaust hose going from the dryer to the ceiling/outside already.

Most likely the problem with your dryer is a bad gas valve coils.

- The part number for the kit of coils is AP2150379

For any further questions we need the complete model number of the dryer.

Gene.
