My Kenmore Series 80 dryer produces no lint, and takes forever to dry. We have checked the ventillation tubing and the inside of the back of the dryer, but there were no significant clogs. The inside of the dryer has some wet lint, but we have no dry lint in the lint drawer as we used to have when it was working well. I am at the end of my rope! I don't want to call in an expensive repairman or buy a new dryer if it is a relatively simple fix. HELP, and thank you!:confused:

What is the complete model number of the dryer?

Is it warm or cold inside the dryer at the end of the cycle?

Gene, so sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Thx for your reply. Model number: 110 62842100;
Ser: ML4310666;
Type: DWSR-ELE-2406028-CV54
Kenmore 80 Series
The dryer gets warm and steamy, at best. I would not call it hot. It takes 3-4 hour long cycles to dry a half load of whites...even more for towels. Thx so much for your help!

Wet lint iside means there is something wrong with the air flow what causing all moister to stay inside the dryer. If you are sure the outside vent is clean, then the problem is somewhere inside.

Remove the rear cover and the air chute (#55 on the diagram). Check the blower and make sure the chute is clean inside.

Put it back together and run the dryer with the vent hose disconnected.

Post the results.

Gene.
