Dryer runs but no heat. Checked the following:
thermal fuse = closed
Igniter = closed
Flame sensor = Closed
thermal fuse = closed
Gas valve coils check OK
cycling thermostat = closed across red and open across vilot
Timer checks OK
It has gas because I have been about to mess around and get it to fire but cannot recreat my messing around

Local appliance repair man is on a cruise???

Any suggestions?

If the igniter glows and there is gas to the dryer but it does not light then the only failure suspect left is the gas valve.

- The part number for the gas valve is AP3083221

Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool dryer Model GGQ9800LG1

Check the temperature switch on the control panel.

Also the cycling thermostat has to be replaced due to: "open across violet".

- The part number for the temperature switch is AP2947360

- The part number for the cycling thermostat is AP3045874
