My dryer had quit working, so we took it apart and the heating element itself had broken. My question is, can we just buy the element itself or do we have to purchase the whole assembly? I would think it would cost alot less if we could just purchase the element. Thanks!;)
Well I just went looking some more and I guess we can but when I look at the diagrams it does not give just a part number for the coil itself.
Would this part number work 5300622032? I know it measure 5/8" diameter.

It looks like it would work, but we are not a part of the parts operation of APP so I suggest you call them. They can cross reference that coil against your model.

If they say it will work, it will work. If they say it will not work, it won't.
