Default Lint alarm sounds after approx 3 min run time creating a rift in the space time conti
Model Number: Bosch WTA3510S / 10FD 8210 203194 Dryer   Brand: Bosch   Age: 1 - 5 years

The owner of the dryer said the housekeeper washed some rugs, which clogged the lint screen causing the lint alarm to sound. She cleaned the screen, replaced it, restarted it, with resulting lint alarm sounding approx 3 min run time. Which requires you to open dryer door to reset the alarm. Kind of like Ground Hog Day.

I cleaned the dryer vent hose, made sure the dryer exhaust was clear by vacuuming and blowing and visual inspection. I vacuumed the exhaust plenum on the dryer, made sure it was clear. I also inspected the lint/exhaust plenum with my handy dandy fiber optic scope, all clear.

Put unit back into service with no success. Alarm in approx 3 min. The whole time the cleaning process was going on the unit was unplugged which should have allowed a hard reboot of the Cray Super computer which controls this marvel of human engineering, should such a procedure be recommended for said machine.

Having not found a schematic in all the usual places, I decided to do brain surgery. I removed the top cover, low and behold the sacred text (schematic) no mention of lint screen temp sensor, or lint screen air flow sensor, no would not want to make it to easy for the uninitiated, Removed the next cover to the inner sanctum, wow the space shuttle has nothing on this baby.

Looked around trying to make sense of the various subsystems. Trying to find markings on the control board to give me an indication of where the errant signal was coming from, alas time to button her up and seek further enlightenment from a Guinness extra stout, which worked because I found this forum on fun and frivolous facts on appliance repair.

Conclusion; There are two temp sensors located in the heater element box one resettable the other not. The not one could be faulty.

The moisture sensor located in the air return duct is faulty.

The control board has entered into an infinite loop and requires adjustment with a 4# hammer.

The fate of the universe is in your hands. The rift in the space time continuum is beginning to widen, if this is not corrected Hillery Clinton will become the next president of the world.

Peace
