My dryer turns but does not heat. The heating element looks to be completely intact so I assume it is not the problem. I order and received a temperture high stat (part # 56082) which is located on the heating element and a thermister (part # AP2403208 aka 59500 made by Speed Queen) which is located on the dryer exhaust tube. I also order and received a new door switch (part # AP4319999). Here are my questions. The thermister fits but looks different from the old part. The back side of the old part is a flat button, the new part has a black plastic oblong plastic prong. Is it the right part? Has the design of the part changed. Also the door switch has three prongs - one silver and two brass. I only have two wires to connect to it. Which brass prong do I not use or is it also the wrong part? Thanks for any help you can provide.
