Default Noisy Dryer
Model Number: dsxr453ev1ww   Brand: GE   Age: 1 - 5 years

Makes squeekey noises from front bottom. Comes and goes. Sometimes really loud sometimes very quiet. Took off front and top but still have a hard time reaching back side of motor where belt and pulley's meet. Are there grease fitting to grease on motor or pulley or can I reach in with WD-40 and spray pulley? Is belt dressing okay to use? Also, can bottom come off without pulling out drum or motor? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Dan,

You can easy access the idler pulley by removing the rear cover panel.

Here are the break down diagrams for the GE dryer Model DSXR453EV1WW

Hello.

There are no grease fittings on the motor. I dont recomend spraying
WD40 on any of those moving parts, and do not use belt
dressing. From the description you gave a the belt
and idler pulley are your most likely culprits and should
be replaced.
