Model Number: WTMC4300CN Brand: Bosch Age: 1 - 5 years
Dryer is 1.5 yrs old and started acting up a couple weeks ago; but not all the time - it works fine for a couple loads, then won't stay running in any mode (timed drying or automatic drying).
Dryer will run for about 30 seconds, then stop - no error on the display. Cleaning the moisture sensors sometimes fixes it...Letting it sit for a few minutes sometimes fixes it. Should I consider replacing the moisture sensor. Can anyone supply a wiring diagram for my dryer. Thanx, Justin Ads By Google Related Models |

Hi Justin,
The first failure suspect is a clogged exhaust line which caused the dryer to overheat. Gene.

Possible the moister sensor is causing the problem.
The model number you posted does not come up. Verify and repost it, please. Gene.

Model number is confirmed to be WTMC4300CN, Bosch Nexxt DLX Series Electric Dryer.
It's a Canadian model - the US equivalent is WTMC4300US. Can I simply jumper the moisture sensor to bypass it? Does it provide a variable resistance or some other measurement to the circuit board? Thanx, Justin |

Justin,
You can not bypass the moister sensor - the control board is going to be confused. It controls the sensor by reading the proper resistance. I would recommend to call an authorized Bosch tech because the problem you described is not a regular and it is not on the troubleshooting list. Gene.

As it turns out the problem was with the door switch - the one screw holding the door sensor in place was slightly loose, just enough to shut down the dryer after a couple minutes of tumbling and clothes bumping against the door.
Go figure.... |

I'm glad you were able to fix it.
Gene.
